Prunus angustifolius is a thicket forming tree with slender, spreading branches and a flat-topped crown. Branches have thorn-like side branches. Does well in average to dry, sandy soil. Very drought tolerant once established. Showy white flowers in spring that are good pollinator forage early in the season, and edible fruits for birds and humans in the fall. Trim back root suckers if a thicket/colony is not desirable.
