Broad, spreading, woody shrub with multiple nonbranching stems, large dark green leaves and flat clusters of white flowers in mid-summer. Wild Hydrangea occurs in open forests throughout the south. It has a much more delicate and open form than it’s cousin, the larger Oakleaf Hydrangea. The white flowers are in flat clusters, and last for several weeks. This shrub will bloom in deep shade. Thrives in shade and needs consistent moisture to maintain healthy looking foliage.
