Join us in Avondale for Earth Day:
Avondale ACTion is sponsoring an Earth Day Celebration in Avondale 2-5pm at the new town green pavilion.
The Avon Garden Club is sponsoring an 'Eco-Garden' tour of gardens demonstrating sustainable gardening practices. There will also be displays and education from various organizations supporting environmentally friendly activities such as growing native plants, composting, pollinator gardens and more.
There will be a series of short talks about sustainable gardening/landscaping given by various local practitioners. Several speakers will give mini-presentations throughout the afternoon. At 5pm there will be food trucks and a blue grass band giving a concert at the pavilion.
There will also be children's educational games and door prizes for children to promote care for the environment.'
