Invite a Monarch to Lunch with Trecia Neal

Trecia Neal has served as a Monarch Watch Conservation Specialist for the University of Kansas for the Southeast area for twenty years. During that time Ms. Neal has been studying monarchs and leading trips to the monarch overwintering sites in Mexico. This talk discusses the biology and ecology of the monarch butterfly as well as their incredible two way migration between Mexico and the North American continent. Problems with the monarch population and practical ways that we can help the monarch recover are discussed. In this class participants will learn about the biology, ecology, and migrations of the monarch butterfly. Monarch population declines and efforts to help monarchs recover will be discussed.
