Compost: the Other Black Gold ’24

June 2 @ 1:30 PM - 3:00 PM

Two women sieve fresh compost into a wheelbarrow. They work in landscaped clearing framed with lush woods.

Compost: the Other Black Gold with Trecia Neal

06/02/24 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm

Stop throwing out the other black gold: nutrients.  Learn hands-on how to take garden debris and turn it into rich, water-holding compost, perfect for droughts. Trecia Neal will present the best way to create compost in your landscape. We will discuss the importance of composting, why we compost, and build our own compost pile to demonstrate the correct method of putting a compost pile together.

The mission of Trecia Neal's business, Green Gardens Education and Designs, is to help homeowners and green spaces transition their lawns into ecologically diverse and wildlife supportive environments with native plants.
