Compost: the Other Black Gold

04/23/23, 2pm - 3:30 pm Trecia Neal

Stop throwing out the other black gold: nutrients.  Learn hands-on how to take garden debris and turn it into rich, water-holding compost, perfect for droughts. Trecia Neal will present the best way to create compost in your landscape. We will discuss the importance of composting, why we compost, and build our own compost pile to demonstrate the correct method of putting a compost pile together.

Healthy soil is the basis of a fertile ecosystem. Moist, compost-enriched soils attract beneficial decomposers like this Georgia flat-backed millipede.

The mission of Trecia Neal's business, Green Gardens Education and Designs, is to help homeowners and green spaces transition their lawns into ecologically diverse and wildlife supportive environments with native plants.
