Beech Hollow Farm is an innovative wildflower nursery focused on growing native plants for restoration and habitat creation projects. Its mission is to produce high quality, locally sourced, native plant material to restore the Georgia Piedmont. We are currently seeking an energetic individual with practical Master Gardener/retail experience to meet the needs of a growing native plant nursery. This is an excellent opportunity for someone starting off in the industry that would like to work in a beautiful environment, with a team dedicated to the promotion and preservation of Georgia’s amazing flora. Qualifications & Requirements

- Must be self-motivated, energetic, and willing to learn with great attention to detail
- Prior experience in horticulture or gardening preferred
- Ability to identify weeds, pests, and pathogens preferred
- Experience in native plant identification preferred
- Ability to lift 40 lbs.
- Willingness to work in an outdoor environment year-round
- Reliable transportation and valid GA driver’s license
- Ability to provide proof of US Citizenship or legal residency
Responsibilities:

- Opening and closing the retail location in Scottdale.
- Making both electronic and cash sales to customers.
- Maintaining cleanliness of retail and sales areas
- Weeding pots of stock and retail plants
- Watering plants when needed, reporting any problems with stock
- Reporting low stock
- Pulling plant orders
- Loading plants and transporting plants to customers` vehicles, or to/from the stock growing area
- Some grounds maintenance
- Other duties as necessary
This is a part-time position – 8-24 hours per week
