Colony forming woodland perennial with upright stems lined with large alternate leaves. The stem is topped with bright creamy white blossoms that are followed by berries that turn from green to deep purple speckled with red and pink as they ripen. Provides excellent woodland forage for native bees. Berries are forage for wildlife.
