Cornus amomum, Silky Dogwood, is a multi-stemmed shrub that may become as wide as it is tall. This deciduous shrub matures in 10 years and is easy to prune back if needed. Four to six inch wide panicles of tiny, creamy-white flowers on red stems are covered in pollinators of all sorts in mid to late spring. The fruit are ripe during the late summer, and are excellent songbird and wildlife forage.
