Clinopodium georgianum is a compact subshrub with semi-woody stems lined by shiny, ovoid leaves that have a strong smell of menthol when crushed. Multiple stems sprout in late spring. Stems are topped with clusters of half-inch pink tubular flowers from mid-summer to early fall. Thrives in well-drained soils in part shade. This plant does well in rock gardens and is very drought tolerant.
